EdgarDan,

You beat me to it. I was drafting a post about this same topic. We'll need to fire our Senior Editor .... when we get one...

My take on this topic was going to be this:

When Christians say - there's only one way to God, they are wrong.

All paths. All religions do lead to Jesus.

Except that - gulp - some will get what they deserve and some will get the Grace of God.

Update: actually I don't think it is the senior editor that manages the stories. I think that's the production manager...anyway, we'll fire him too.

Timothy"I was just sitting here, following my own path to God when all of the sudden! Whammy! the law of noncontradiction jumped up and bit me."

At least that is what happens when you present these truths to those who make that innate claim. Very well done. I like to point this out in my sermons when I get the opportunity... about 52 times a year. :)

Neil"If you must be a pluralist, please don't call yourself a follower of Jesus Christ."

Preach on!

I was sharing the Gospel with a Muslim yesterday for about an hour (please pray for him - it was a great conversation and he seems to be really seeking the truth about eternal life after several deaths of young people in his family). One of the things I emphasized was that we can't both be right. I was encouraged that he agreed.

Religious pluralism is intellectually bankrupt.

Thanks for a well written and very important post!

I have more respect for the atheist who at least has the courage to say he is right, and I am wrong.
Thanks ;-)

Neil, I'm beginning to worry about the amount of things we agree on...
