EdgarThe fact that PBS is airing this show is good enough news. They could have easily put Robert Price or Dominic Crossan. Instead, they have at the least N.T. Wright and Witherington... (it could have been worst).

The important thing is that Christ Jesus is preached .... that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, Philippians 1:15-18

PamThis program was very disturbing to my Christian faith. It was not accurate and it was full of speculation and conjecture. Professors of Divinity populated the screen with their silly interpretations. The writers were just trying to make entertainment through controversy. They spent way too much time on gratuitous violence using the crucifix, and very little time on the greatness of the person of Christ.
The only true story of Jesus is in the God-inspired Holy Bible, and it should only be told by true believers.

Edgarhi Pam,

thanks for the update. I actually forgot to keep an eye for the show. So called scholars -- especially -- the ones on liberal tv shows are there for their PhDs and sensationalist points of view.

skepticism reigns and sounds so smart, doesn't ?

JohnYes, there are a handful of very religious people, who have failed to regurgitate the poison they were fed at mothers knee, and who've managed to get a degree in history or archaeology, who feel a desperate need to twist reality to suit what they wish were true. However, the is a huge army of honest historians, archaeologists and linguists, who remain unbiased by religious dogma, and this army tells us that there is simply NOT a single shred of evidence that Jesus of the bible ever existed. Even many otherwise very religious scholars admit this. There is a lot of money to be made by telling Christians what they so desperately want to hear. YOU CAN HAVE YOUR OWN "TRUTH", BUT YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR OWN FACTS.

EdgarHi John,

what are some of the scholars you can provide that hold that JC never existed?
