Why you don't really have free will
January 2nd, 2012 by Edgar || 3 comments »The beloved Jerry A. Coyne, evolutionary science professor, whose book Why Evolution is True I reviewed a while back, has an op-ed column at USA Today on "FREE WILL".
Coyne rightly asserts that in a naturalistic worldview - free will is an illusion - since all of our actions are determined by our genes and our environment:
we are biological creatures, collections of molecules that must obey the laws of physics. All the success of science rests on the regularity of those laws, which determine the behavior of every molecule in the universe ... [including our brains] (USATODAY).
To all my Arminian and prevenient grace friends out there... read Coyne's column over at USA Today. Then come back and share your thoughts.
