I think Edgar and I would both argue that one's life experiences do not determine who or what God is, particularly since everyone has different experiences. God can't be a bunch of different things to a bunch of different people, or He ceases to be anything at all. God is as He has revealed Himself.

The questions we (try) to answer are how has He revealed Himself, and what has He revealed?
