PKAfter putting in a search on Google for 'Christian movies in Netflix' I was at first pleasantly surprised to find this website, created by a christian organization nonetheless! I anticipated finding some good, wholesome, fun, uplifting movies that reflected Biblical values. After looking at the movie recommendations, I was soon deeply grieved. I just don't get it (and I'm sure I will be accused of being 'judgmental' very soon... but don't take it up with me, take it up with the Man who wrote the Book!) - why the recommendations on movies that include things as blasphemy (the omega man) and immoral sexuality (the notebook) as well as most of the others having blatant things in them (not seen them, but after reading the reviews on them on christiananswers.net and pluggedin.com - 2 excellent 'tell-it-as-it-is christian movie review sites) that come nowhere close to following Ps. 101:3 "I will set before my eyes no vile thing" or Phil. 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." or Job 31:1 "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl." What - is there erasable bibles out there? Or are you thinking you are walking in the 'freedom' that Paul describes and do whatever you want because "I am strong...!"? Look at Paul's teaching on that closer... and do not be deceived. There ARE plenty of good movies on netflix that are exciting, fun, funny, romantic, but do not go against God's principles. Be blessed and watch them. Keep your mind and spirit out of the gutter. What you choose to watch does affect WHO you are.

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

two thoughts:
one - we saw some of these movies before we were christians.

two - these movies have biblical themes that are great conversation pieces. People bring them up at work or school and it is always great to be able to make the connection and raise the conversation to a spiritual that brings it back to God, his glory and his love.

MarniMy thought is that we have the Holy Spirit living in us. I can't imagine Him sitting and enjoying the swearing and sex and violence. Our topics should always be holy and clean. If we are guided by the Holy Spirit we won't need any movie; especially worldly movies. He'll bring the name of Jesus up easily. Luke 12:12

If this scripture is true (which I know it is) then we must not corrupt our minds by intentionnaly watching these movies. The moment we compromise that is when the enemy has us

You do have a good point that we should be careful of what we watch. On that I agree.
