Learn NT Greek -- Best Resources
By E. I. Sanchez on Oct 19, 2009 | 574 views | 3 feedbacks »I guess I'm selfish. But apparently brain researchers are saying that learning a new language helps your brain stay healthy.
So I said to myself: learn some NT Greek -- which I have been saying to myself for a long time -- but this time -- I sort of want to move forward.
Does anybody know of some good resources (self-study) video, audio or text book for learning New Testament Greek?
Does anybody have experience with online schools they would recommend?

Sure just google "koine greek" and loads of stuff comes up, a lot of it is free. But please, please learn the greek alphabet. Whenever I hear people who do a “word study” I just think of all of the nuance which they are missing. And it has the feel of their cutting and pasting something out of their favorite commentary.
This site is my favorite website for readable greek text without having to install greek fonts.

The other goodies should show up in the “koine greek” search. If you are interested there are also reproductions of ancient manuscripts at

My favorite is

the covers have the four evangelists painted on them, though John has been rubbed off through extreme age and handling.
May God aid you in your search
