George Harrison
By Edgar on Apr 2, 2006 | 1249 views" With out looking out of my window I could know the ways of heaven ... (Inner Light/Harrison)"
Though not my favorite Beatle composer, George wrote some wonderful melodies. Specifically speaking, I am referring to “My Sweet Lord”, and “The Inner Light”. Listening to these melodies is always so enchanting. However, listening to these songs always leaves me wondering if there are better ways to spend my time than listening to George Harrison’s Krishna anthems.
Many will say that it is really not that bad. It is just music. I would agree with them except that every time I listen to these songs, my mind wonders. Did George ever get a chance to learn about the real Christ? Did he get a chance to understand that Christ claimed to be the only way to God? Did he really take the time to understand the Karmic law and its dismissal of evil and pain? If Christ is truly the God of the universe, how could George, being a non-Christian, write such beautiful melodies, and not see Christ? But since speculation does not advance the kingdom of God, this doesn’t help me much.
George believed that all ways point to God and that God has many names. However, it is obvious that he chose not to call him Jesus or praise him with "Hallelujah," but rather with "Hare Krishna.” If it were true that they were the same, why choose Hare Krishna? One is better, isn’t it?
If it is true that all ways lead to Heaven, then Christians will get there. However if Jesus is the only way to God; then, we must study his claims carefully and open our hearts to him and accept his gift.

No He wasn't. None of the Beatles are or were Christian from what we know about them.
Maybe we will see true answer someday.
I believe Harrison knew the truth, but he sure as heck didn't live his life for Jesus Christ. This brings up a very serious debate called "once saved always saved".
I have also heard that it was a Brazilian pastor who was able to convert George when he had cancer later in his life, just a few months before his death. This was because a friend of George's who is a brazilian formula 1 race car driver (i forgot his name) knew this pastor and set up the encounter. I hope he really did stay a Christian, I hope he is in Heaven. But imagine this, If it was possible for George, the Beatle who was most involved with hinduism to convert, there could be an easier chance for Paul McCartney to convert. I pray that he does while there is still time.
Yes, i too hope to see George up in heaven. Only God knows what might have become of him.

As for Paul McCartney it clearly states his religion in an underrated album called, "Chaos and Creation in the Backyard." Which I own currently. One song in paticular is, "Follow Me!"
The song's message basically has to do with more people to follow Christ.
As for John Lennon I read extremely grand articles that had to do with his religion and one really inspired me. I do not remember the link, but it is located on www.cbn.com
That is all I have to mention about the Beatles religion!!!
I also read that Bob Dylan reverted to Judaism? That's interesting too. I never heard that before.
Thanks for sharing.
