DanAwesome. Family devotions are super important these days when most adults don't even know what Christianity is.

We have devotions as well, but just follow a one-year NT plan, reading a chapter per day, excluding Lord's Days. We'll also memorize the Heidelberg Catechism in three years, Lord willing.

Edgarhey dan,

I purposely didn't reply to see how this week would go.

it's a challenge for sure. the oldest kid loves it while the younger space in and out. the younger kids will just have to learn to discipline themselves and take it seriously. hope they will see how the oldest behaves and want to follow the path.

other than that, this has given us a family time to come together, share stories, and pray together which we weren't doing much before.

DanHave you tired delaying the prayer until right before bed? That works for us. The kids tend to be tired enough to pay attention.

EdgarWe might give this a try. So far we're kind of accepting that the younger ones will not be paying attention so we focus on the older one.
